Church Resources

strengthening the church so that you can impact lostness.

The resources that we make available will hopefully aid and assist your Church so that you can focus on impacting lostness, sharing the gospel and growing as a body in Christ!  It is our hope that these resources will help minimize any distractions by quickly providing an answer, example or help in several areas including: Church administration, evangelism, outreach and many more.

Please continue to check for updates and new additions as we continue to find more resources to help you in your ministry!

resources to assist the church be all that it can be

Being all that God has called us to become in Him, does not happen naturally.  As Southern Baptists we are blessed to have an abundance of resources availble to us.  In addition, we have some good people that love the church and want it to be all that God would have them to be - so much so that they have dedicated their lives to help the church.  In recent months you have heard me make a statement that I believe is largely the truth.  The truth is -- "There is NO EXCUSE for a so many churches in North America being classified as a "Plataued, Declining, or Dying church. There is but ONE REASON for it, those churches have willfully and deberately chosen to be disobedient to the commands of God's Word/commands of Christ."

Admittedly, some may not "know it."  But to see the statistics and recognize the church is stagnate and to (1) not be willing to change, (2) not seeking out resources to assist you in becoming the church, and (3) not having required leadership training as a part of your qualifications for continuing to serve is deplorable.

resources for stay-at-home church

The cool thing about the "stay in place" executive order has been the creativeness of pastors, denominational leaders, companies specializing in church health and strengthening - all devoting some much to offer quality help and products!

Even after this is over, we will benefit if we keep many of the innovative things being done in our "tool box" for strengthening His church so that we can better impact lostness in THIS generation.

On this page, we hope to provide resources readily available to you/your church.  Take some time to utilize this stockpile of helps provided that are free or inexpensive to you as a result of your membership of Tar River Baptist Association and the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention as well as other sources.

The video below is a filler.  It will soon contain a video detailing resources available to you:
Ministry Grid:  Honestly, Ministry Grid ALWAYS has some free things for church members/leaders.  Now they have a lot of "at home" resources.  Check out what's free (Maybe - What do Southern Baptists believe) and when you see the potential - realize this is an untapped resource to many TRBA churches because people have failed to ask about free "memberships" available through TRBA.

Sampson Ministry Resources:  This is leadership available for use as a member of any member church in the association.  For example, why purchase Johnny Hunt's 'THE DEACON I WANT TO BE" for $200 when it - along with tons of other leadership training is FREE to you to stream in your church/home?

RightNow Media:   This link takes you to the current FREE version you can use.  It has the latest training for ALL ages.  I refer to it as NETFLIX FOR THE CHRISTIAN HOME.  Once you try to free version and discover you like it. let's talk as there is a way we can get it TOGETHER as an association.

These are but three of the resources available to you.  As we build up this page, you will discover much that will help you become a stronger individual follower of Christ - as well as disciple your family, enhance your Sunday School/Small Group, train every aspect of church leadership, etc.  Thereby strengthening your church.

What about communicating - a simple, easy, free (you can also buy a "larger room") link you can use in your email (no one has to download anything) is WHEREBY.  Great toll for small group prayer (and family visits),
