Associational Missions Strategist Dougald McLaurin announced his retirement at the 192nd Annual Spring Meeting of the Tar River Baptist Association. Dougald was called to serve as the Associational Missions Strategist (then Director of Missions) of the Tar River Baptist Association in November of 2000. He has since served the churches and pastors of Tar River tirelessly, leading mission trips, coordinating countless ordination councils, and providing faithful leadership in good times and in bad.
Dougald shared with the pastors, messengers, and guests assembled that he and his wife, Linda, would remain in the area, and expressed excitement at the future of Tar River Baptist Association. Dougald and Linda will remain members of the replanted Ephesus Baptist Church, and are looking forward to what God has in store for them next. Dougald concluded his statement, "It has been my honor and my privilege to serve -- it is my prayer that we will see revival in His church; more people coming to Jesus as Savior and Lord; and - as we pray, confess, repent, submit to doing His Will - healing throughout our land. God Bless!"
Join us in thanking Dougald and Linda for their faithful service, and in congratulating them both on Dougald's retirement!
