TRBA Connection

Welcome to the TRBA Connection
A shared space for collaboration, encouragement, and kingdom vision.

At the Tar River Baptist Association, we believe that churches are stronger when they’re connected—not just by geography, but by shared purpose, prayer, and the desire to reach our communities with the love of Christ.

The TRBA Connection is more than just a blog. It’s a space to share updates, highlight what God is doing in our churches, and offer encouragement to pastors and ministry leaders who are walking similar roads. Here, we’ll explore what cooperation looks like in real life—through conversations, events, stories, and shared wisdom.

You’ll find reflections from our gatherings, ideas for strengthening ministry relationships, and gentle challenges to build bridges between churches for the sake of the gospel.

Whether your church has been part of the association for generations or you’re new to the area, this is your invitation to be part of something bigger than your own building or calendar. We’re in this together. And together, we can do more than we ever could alone.

Facing 2026 By Trusting an Inexhaustible God!

As we head toward a new year, there are many things that we do not know.  None of us are sure of what will happen in 2026.  Will we face a major crisis?  Will we face death in our family? Will we experience financial hardship? Will our health go bad?  Will we encounter change in our life that we did not expect?

Well, here’s some good news! Among the uncertain things, there are also things that are absolutely true concerning God’s truth.  There are promises from God’s Word upon which we can set our feet on solid ground. Isaiah 40:28-31 (ESV) declares:
28 Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
    the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
    His understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the faint,
    and to him who has no might he increases strength.

30 Even youths shall faint and be weary,
    and young men shall fall exhausted;
31 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
    they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
    they shall walk and not faint.
